The Access Control Manager is responsible for designing, monitoring and improving the controls related with corporate account access to company resources.
The role reports to and closely partners with the IAM Capability Area lead, providing support in defining the IAM vision and developing the IAM strategy. The individual is expected to develop and maintain a comprehensive view of all identity and access management activities, supporting the IAM area to embed and enhance their processes and controls within their day-to-day operations, using this knowledge to facilitate informed decision-making.
The Access Control Manager is specially a Subject Matter Expert on Identity and Access Management, responsible for providing guidance and advice to the first line of Access Control Analysts and to business teams on how to manage access to their applications. The role also requires extensive Operations experience and expertise, since they will be dealing with, coordinating, designing and planning multiple complex operational projects. The role also involves managing the Access Control team, empowering them to provide support in managing the access control processes end to end, from account provisioning in HR systems to specific application access. Furthermore, you will be the main driver for improvements made to the governance framework and tooling to ensure that access controls are in line with agreements made with the business and regulatory requirements.
As a Manager, you will also be responsible for the performance management of the team. Ensuring expectations and KPIs are clear, and using quantifiable metrics to help the team understand what good looks like. Your main responsibility in this area will be to ensure business delivery according to the defined KPIS and to support the team to achieve their professional goals.
Successful Access Control management requires dynamic individuals who are able to collaborate with multiple stakeholders, be aware of numerous initiatives throughout the business, identify rogue initiatives that contradict the corporate approach and appease and conciliate opposing points of view, integrating all of these perspectives to ultimately drive beneficial security, risk and operational outcomes.
As an e-commerce company, we have the need to ensure 24/7 operations of services towards our customers. Providing operational access management support, you will act both top-down and bottom-up, considering a holistic view on managing access throughout Booking.com.
