The Security Solutions Architect is responsible for governing, designing, building, testing, and implementing security systems within an organisation’s technology and data ecosystem. In this role, you will have a thorough understanding of complex technology systems and stay up to date with the latest security standards, systems, and authentication protocols, as well as best practice security products. This role is accountable for the architectural design and ongoing lifecycle management which ensures our technology, product, and service investments meet our security and risk management objectives in an optimised and effective manner. In order to fulfil this role, the Security Solutions Architect will need to stay abreast of not only the latest technology offering but also the threat landscape to ensure our investments are delivering on quality outcomes and meet a set criteria for the return-on-investment.
A deep understanding of the broader business is a prerequisite as our security investments should map to a business outcome in that they enable and/or otherwise protect revenue generating activities from harm or impediment. The Senior Security Solutions Architect works across domains and Booking brands, so it includes ability to design, collaborate, and motivate senior leaders to follow architectural principles.
An architect’s role is to own the architectural roadmap, to define the architectural vision, and to facilitate its realisation by engineering teams across one or more Product Groups.
The architect ensures the technical solution and approach is resilient, scalable and adaptable and that governance, compliance, and resilience are built into solutions.
This role is responsible for coaching engineering teams on engineering best practices, collaborating with the team and others to deliver high quality solutions, and keep abreast of new and existing technologies to be able to apply these to a variety of projects as applicable.
