A new exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Business Process Improvement Analyst to join the Regulatory Compliance and Technical Service team in Heerlen. In this role you will act as an individual contributor to plan and coordinate projects. You will design, develop, analyze, troubleshoot and coordinate tasks during process development/ improvement projects. You will act as single point of contact, providing regular updates to management and stakeholders on project progress and performance against target. You can analyze problems from different angles and come up with solutions which fit with the strategic direction of the organization.

As a Senior Business Process Improvement Analyst, you will represent the department in various roles (e.g. within other Medtronic departments, the OUs), whilst maintaining a thorough knowledge of operational excellence / project management trends, tools and techniques. We are looking for a team player with an innovative mindset and the ability to see opportunities and challenge the status quo. In this role you will report to the Manager Governance & Analytics and Project Team.

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Responsible for overall management / deployment leadership of (major) operational excellence and/or process harmonization projects.
  • Consult with subject matter experts as needed for project execution, issue resolution and phase reviews.
  • Control project deliverables, timelines, communication and performance.
  • Provide structured and regular report out to management (and senior leadership as needed). Highlight areas where extra focus/attention is needed and provides workable solutions.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to other departmental staff regarding process design and improvement.
  • Provide expertise and solutions to a wide range of complex business demands.
  • Represent the organization on projects. Interact with senior personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
  • Monitor project metrics and recommend changes to improve operating efficiency and process outputs.

Must Haves

  • Bachelor / Master degree, ideally in Quality Management, (Medical) Engineering and/ or Life Sciences, Medicine, Medical biology, Pharmacy (or equivalent).
  • Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • > 4 years of relevant cross-functional project management experience in multinational organization(s).
  • Experience with (leading) change management / operational excellence programs.
  • Excellent project management and cross-functional team building skills
  • Strong problem-solving and facilitative leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills to different organizational levels and in-/ external stakeholders.
  • High levels of accuracy, accountability, integrity and flexibility.
  • Strong customer focus and understanding.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Nice To Haves

  • Operational process experience in highly regulated environment (medical device, pharmaceutical, healthcare, food industry).
