Plant Manager

The Manager Demand Planning is responsible for the demand management processes within FrieslandCampina Ingredients. The Manager Demand Planning leads a team of demand planners and has the responsibility to create, consolidate, monitor and improve the demand plan for FrieslandCampina Ingredients based on the commercial plans (operational and tactical horizon) as input for the S&OP process in order to fulfil the demand at the required service levels and the financial planning.

The demand planning team consist of 8 demand planners spread over 4 customer segments. The 4 segments (Early Life Nutrition, Adult Nutrition, Food and Beverages and Animal Nutrition) all have their own business dynamics. In this position, you will be responsible for:

Demand Creation

  • Consolidate Segment Demand plans into S&OP demand plans
  • Demand Review meetings
  • Point of contact for commercial organization

Inventory management

  • Stock & obsolete management

Requirements & needs

  • Understand Ingredients business dynamics and translate into demand plans
  • Analyze root cause and drive continuous improvement of the forecast accuracy and bias proactively
  • Processes changes in demand in the operational and tactical horizon
  • Facilitate the scenario management process
  • Coordinate activities related to the constraining and allocation process

Management information

  • Provide insights and decision documents regarding quantitative and qualitative developments by means of periodical (S&OP, budget, RF and LRP) and ad hoc reports and/or analyses, based on reporting guidelines to drive PDCA cycle
  • Develop insightful, actionable and user friendly KPI dashboards and reports and to distribute/share with relevant stakeholders
  • Observe and evaluate bottlenecks and identify opportunities for improvements


  • Develop and secure execution of the long term demand strategy in order to improve with small steps and great leaps towards demand excellence

People Management

  • Hire, lead, coach, develop and appraise employees of the department/discipline using the instruments, services and procedures of HRM department. Building one FCI team that serves all segments


  • Define, plan, manage and execute tactical projects, within the project management guidelines. Participates in strategic projects within and outside BG
