Senior Product Manager Therapy Delivery EMEA (flexible location in Europe - prin. product spec.)

Business Title: Senior Product Manager - Therapy Delivery Coronary EMEA

MDT System Title: Senior or Principal Product specialist

Location: Flexible location in Europe (home based/close to a major international hub) – travel time approx. 40%

Main Purpose:

To be responsible for the therapy delivery products for Coronary in the EMEA region

To establish strategies required to meet financial objectives of sales, market share and profitability.

To oversee the development and execution of regional marketing plans in conjunction with global strategic objectives.

To support the sales organization in developing and implementing regional marketing and sales support activities in order to grow the Coronary market and revenues market share.

To collaborate with SBU to ensure effective lines of communication

Key Accountabilities:

•Able to leverage and influence Medtronic matrix management working across the countries of Europe, including the following management structures: Europe Coronary/RDN sales and marketing, distributors, medical affairs liaisons, reimbursement specialists and external alliance partners.

•Develops and maintains a project management system for all activity within the assigned business unit.

Product Strategy

•Contributes to the establishment of the annual goals and objectives of Coronary portfolio, specifically of the Therapy Delivery Products.

•Acts with accountability to achieve the strategic imperatives defined for the Coronary Vascular Division.

•Contributes to develop annual Business plans to grow the business across Europe.

•Establishes strong links with the marketing activities at the Strategic Business Unit to align plans for future market and product development.

•Identifies business growth opportunities and potential unmet customer requirements.

•Assures alignment with functional areas such as research, clinical development, education, reimbursement and sales.

Product Marketing

•High Level of technical product knowledge in the interventional field ideally coronary market

•Works with business unit to provide input on forecasts, inventory control, phase in/out plans, clinical evaluation, etc.

•Responsible for monthly updates of demand plans for the supply chain unit, to ensure correct availability of products, minimizing back orders and obsolescence risks.

•Work with internal stakeholders to develop and implement local tactical Marketing and sales support activities.

•Assures local input to plans and programs including product launches, new product development, and promotional programs and training needs.

•Consistently and effectively communicates business/marketing strategies and directions to Business, Country Managers, and works with them to implement.

•Create, maintain, foster contact with KOLs and other health care professionals through participation in physician organizations, conventions, sales calls and other customer contacts to better understand the market and respond to market needs.

•Meets with customers regularly to assess future market needs, as well as to maintain positive relationships with key opinion leaders.

•Maintains frequent and continuous communication with sales force regarding competitive activities as well as initiatives relating to competitive product lines.

•Directs reports to work with the Training & Education team to ensure all training material is up to date and aligned with strategy.

Skill, Experience and Knowledge:
•Strong in marketing management skills particularly in marketing strategies, in product positioning, pricing and reimbursement. •Comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the medical device industry and or Coronary Market in Europe and/or Globally. •Ability to quickly manage and execute on a product launch, PR or strategic awareness campaign.•Strong interpersonal and communication skills. •Ability to plan, manage and execute projects within budget and on schedule. •Ability to identify, manage and improve marketing processes and derive commercial benefit. •Strong analytical, financial and planning skills. •Strong relationship building skills. •Good experience of negotiations with customers. •Ability to work with high level executives and to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization and customers (strong written and verbal skills). •Ability to give expert opinions and strategic advice. •Ability to work co-operatively in a matrix environment. •Capability to establish and use networks to acquire information•Proven evidence of Medtronic Core Behaviors:oCustomer Focus: I understand my customers’ needs and strive to exceed their expectations. •B.A or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Management or similar experience in the Healthcare Industry. •5 to 10 years’ experience in marketing or sales & marketing, some of which must be in healthcare industry – business focused.•Advanced IT skills in MS Office, i.e. MS Excel / Access. •Fluent in English, another European Language would be a plus
