To support our Cardiac Ablation Solutions Business in the Alpine-Benelux-Greece-Israel-Nordic (ABGIN) region, we are currently looking for a fulltime customer-oriented field Sales Representative with excellent communication skills and natural ability to spot business opportunities. This strategic position is a great challenge for a person with a passion for innovation, with a few years of commercial experience in a medical device and having an entrepreneurial mindset. The ideal candidate will be excited by the prospect of delivering sales results and drive development in a competitive market.

A Day in the Life

The primary role of the Cardiac Ablation Therapy Sales Representative is to manage sales targets and lead the sales and marketing efforts for Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) innovations across the assigned territory. The incumbent must ensure the ability to assist during clinical ablation procedures, at each account in the ABGIN region. In addition, he/she will develop and provide first class professional sales strategies in conjunction with technical training programs.

This is a high-profile position where customers will expect to be supported by a CAS expert who can work as a valued resource with all levels of staff, both at clinical and at an administrative/financial level, including high profile key opinion leaders.

Position duties will be structured around specific account needs, according to current business commitments and will expand/change according to future business demands.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Formulate and initiate sales strategies and tactics to develop meaningful, long term, sustainable business.
  • Develop sales plans for the designated territory/area and apply professional sales skills to execute on business plans and achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Assist customers during clinical ablation procedures with CAS technologies.
  • Gather market intelligence, customer needs and requirements, whether requested or just observations and communicate to the respective CAS personnel in a timely and meaningful manner.
  • Conduct your work practices in line with company practices and standards, compliant with Medtronic Business Conduct Standards (BCS) regulations and embracing commercial excellence principles.
  • Report all field observations and complaints, associated with CAS products and services, as required by CAS procedures.

Building strong and lasting business relationships is another important task, just as identifying and preparing upcoming tenders, market trends and competitor’s information.

We are looking for a hands-on individual with a commercial mindset, an enthusiastic team player with high integrity standards.

To be successful in this role, very strong interpersonal and communication skills are required. You have proven to be results and quality oriented, integer, innovative and continuously learning. You can communicate persuasively, demonstrate product knowledge, display knowledge of key customers. In this role you contribute to building strong relationships and customer loyalty.

Must Have

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Biology, Economics, Marketing or Business Administration.
  • Comprehensive field experience supporting complex Electrophysiology procedures.
  • Minimal 3 years of successful sales experience, preferably in a cardiac medical device company.
  • Fluent Dutch and English on a conversational level is required.
  • Solid sales experience in selling solutions to hospitals where multiple stakeholders are involved.
  • High relationship building skills on department chief level and committed to customers’ satisfaction and long-term relationship development.
  • Ability to work in EP, catheterization labs and wear lead.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, in a dynamic environment and matrix organization.
  • Culturally aware of company strategy and able to enthuse customers about its products and solutions.
  • Working independently, commitment and accountability for implementation.
  • Team player attitude.
  • Living in Benelux, Austria or Denmark and/or close to a well-connected airport.
  • Ability to travel at least 60% of the time
