Key Account Manager Retail

We are DO-IT, a purpose driven company with a clear mission and we are immediately looking for a Key Account Manager Retail with affinity for the organic food sector for our office in Barneveld.

We believe we can contribute to a sustainable and fairer world by accelerating the development of organic farming by trading in 100% organic consumer brands. We do this by developing our own brands and products sourced from all over the world. And distributed through Europe. In this way we help to grow our farmers and producers of organic food.

About the job

As our Key Account Manager Retail , you have the chance to directly contribute to our sustainability mission. By using your skills as a storyteller of our brands, our 100% organic products and yes sometimes as charming negotiator to get the best possible position for our brands.

Your main challenge the coming period? As the Key Account Manager Retail you are responsible for the development, implementation and tracking of DO-IT’s European retail channel approach. You deliver on sales, volume & profitability targets for major national accounts. Therefor you are a ‘hands-on’ & team player who is able to create and develop a strong relation based on customer insight and market developments.

You do the above by using your skills as a Key Account Manager:

  • Realizing of turnover, margin and profit growth targets at various key accounts in the Retail channel.
  • Maintaining and developing strong relationships with key customers.
  • Acquisition of new retail costumers
  • Developing and implementing account plans.
  • Visiting customers, negotiating, agreeing prices and concluding contracts.
  • You analyze sales and make proposals for effective promotional campaigns.
  • Frequent contact with buyers and category managers of various (inter)national Retail chains.
  • Introducing new brands to existing and new accounts.
  • Working closely with colleagues from Brand Management and Logistics.

In the position you are active on both a strategic and executive level. You have a lot of freedom and space for your own initiatives. Due to the flat corporate culture the lines and project groups are quickly found. You report directly to the Business Unit Manager Consumer Products.

Who are we looking for?

We would like to meet an enthusiastic entrepreneur – a storyteller, sales manager, organizer, foodie – who has several years of experience in a similar position, or someone who is ready for the next step in his or her career. Preferably you have experience with the selling of brands and private label in the food retail channel.

In addition, you bring with you:

  • A higher professional or university degree (in Dutch: HBO or WO).
  • Good knowledge of English and Dutch in speech and writing, other language is an advantage;
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels;
  • A solution-oriented attitude;
  • Affinity with organic foods.
