Senior Sales Manager (DNB/ISV Segment - Benelux)

DESCRIPTION

AWS is one of Amazon’s fastest growing businesses, servicing customers in more than 190 countries, powering the developers who are building the next generation of Startups, digitally native companies and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs). AWS customers include some of the most innovative late-stage startups and ISVs (such as WeTransfer, Collibra, Exact, etc. in the Benelux) and this role will be leading a team to help the largest, most mature Startups, digitally native businesses and SaaS ISVs in Benelux to leverage AWS cloud technology to accelerate their hyper-growth and innovate to exceed revenue goals.

As Segment leader for DNB and ISV in the Benelux, you will build and lead a high impact and diverse team of Account Managers responsible for growing and accelerating adoption and usage of AWS services across the Digital Native and ISV segment. The ideal candidate will manage the career growth and development of the team, coach the team to world-class levels of performance, partner effectively with functions including Solution Architecture, Business Development, Marketing, Sales Operations, Product Teams, etc. You must be comfortable with leading and influencing cross functional global teams in dynamic organizations as most of your responsibilities will have interdependencies with other teams within AWS.

The right candidate will have successful experience in growth-oriented sales leadership roles in the technology sector with focus on digital native businesses. You will have deep cloud IT domain expertise and deeply appreciate how AWS can help digital native businesses adopt AWS for their IT and business. You will need a strong sales and analytical acumen, synthesis, structuring, and problem solving skills to translate ambiguous and often incomplete information into action plans and insights. You will need a strong bias for ‘invention’ and ‘simplification’, demonstrated experience in cross-functional stakeholder management and alignment, solid program management skills, a customer-obsessed and collaborative approach, and strong data and metrics bias. You will also need passion for narrative style writing for business plans and programmatic initiatives. Lastly, you will need to be comfortable in highly visible executive and senior leadership settings where your perspective, vision, and results will be challenged and inspected.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 10+ years of technology related sales or business development experience with quota accountability
· 3+ years of sales management experience leading a team
· Demonstrated record of hiring and people development
· BA/BS degree or relevant experience
· Strong technical, sales, and listening skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to think and act independently within a fast-paced multi-task driven environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience working with a matrixed team of stakeholders to achieve a common goal
· Experience using data and trends to articulate business needs
· Ability to think and act independently within a fast-paced multi-task driven environment
· Knowledge and understanding of existing and developing technologies as it relates to cloud computing; understand and identify opportunities for customers
· Track record of managing time efficiently, meeting personal goals, and working effectively with internal, partner, and customer teams
· Dutch language skills
