The Administrative Assistant, Buying’s main responsibility is to provide clerical back up and administrative support to the Buying Team. This role is key in ensuring correct implementation of the buying processes and in providing full vendor information to the Buying team.

Verantwoordelijkheden
  • Ensure seamless application of the monthly buying procedure
  • Document costs and manage the retail database
  • Maintain accurate product category files and vendor information
  • Assist with the preparation work for product range reviews and conference calls
  • Participate in ad hoc projects where required (i.e. presentations)
  • Build good working relationships with other departments in order to efficiently complete tasks requiring cross-functional involvement (i.e. Marketing, Account Administration)
  • Contact point for assigned product categories
  • Document and mark all samples per Buyer
  • Ensure final ordered samples chosen are tagged with date intro and description
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding delivery and collection of samples
  • Store/display working samples effectively (sample room management)
  • Assist with development of product calendar by month (product photos/photo editing)
  • Document samples movement (i.e. Marketing, Vendors, Other Divisions)
  • Maintain relevant seasonal catalogues and price lists for all suppliers
  • Assist Buyers in the preparation of vendor meetings
  • Liaise with department secretaries to ensure maintenance of purchase orders
  • Liaise with other Buyer Assistants to develop best practices
Kwalificaties
  • MBO level required
  • At least 1-2 years of administrative or secretarial experience required
  • Interest in sports fashion is highly preferred
  • Fluency in English, other European languages are strong assets
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint are must)
  • Ability to work under pressure and with own initiative
  • Enthusiastic, positive, and goal-oriented team player
  • Accurate (also with numbers), well organized and service minded
