In order to deliver the People Vision, our Human Resources team consists of three focus areas: People Services, Centres of Expertise and HR Business Partners. Recently, the three Human Resources areas embarked on a major Human Resources transformation program – HR unite - which aims to build an integrated Human Resources team with standardised processes, a single People Information System (Workday), solution building by globalized Centres of Expertise and a dedicated integrated People Services organisation. Whilst many milestones have been achieved so far, the program has entered its next phase and the vacancy for a Specialist Global Recruitment Operations has arisen to create a positive impact on the further implementation of the HR unite program.

As part of the Global People Services department, the Signature Services team aims to design and implement services which are best in class and improve the employee experience and in turn, the performance of our bank.

Job Overview

The purpose of the Specialist Global Recruitment Operations role is to be part of the design and conceptualisation of our new to-be recruitment model including helping to develop and refine our recruitment process and KPIs as well as participating in the selection of any global vendors relating to the roll-out of this service.

Following this initial set-up phase, the purpose of this role will be to run the recruiting operations for ING at a global level, including the recruitment for corporate roles, as well as ongoing management and monitoring of global vendor performance. The incumbent of this role will also act as Point of Contact for the Global HR community in relation to the global recruitment model and hiring process. Furthermore, they will be required to look at how ING can continually improve the recruitment service and process, working closely with out Employee Experience and Innovation team (also within Global People Services) ensuring that ING creates a unique and best in class recruitment experience and service to the business.

This position will report to the Head of Signature Services, Global People Services. The role is based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

What you’ll do

  • Work together with others to set-up and maintain an innovative and effective global recruitment model
  • Formalizing and tracking/measuring all aspects of the recruiting process: from sourcing to nurture to application to interview, and finally to hire or rejection.
  • Ensuring that the vendor recruiting team operates in the most efficient way, mainly by setting up the right tools and removing unnecessary friction in everyday operations.
  • Drawing insights from recruiting data and sharing it with leadership for the needed visibility to make decisions and forecasts.
  • Communicate and collaborate with countries to ensure ING delivers a truly global service.
  • Management of recruitment for corporate roles.

How to succeed

  • Skills: excellent spoken and written English language, knowledge of Dutch and any other European language is an advantage. Demonstrates operational efficiency by acting in concise manner with the candidate in mind.
  • Competences: people knowledge, stakeholder management, (data) analytic thinker, understands the social and personal implications of recruiting.
  • Work Experience: min. 10 years in Recruiting operations or Talent Acquisition. Previous experience being involved in setting up a new function and recruitment model (desired). Proven track record of vendor management experience. Knowledge of HR solutions and processes. Worked in a global organisation servicing many countries.
  • Education: Bachelor degree from University or University of applied sciences.
