The Logistics & Material Handling department consists of three groups; Warehousing, Logistics and planning & buying for Product Development and Clinical Trials. The department is responsible for materials management including the ordering of material, warehousing and inventory control operations and the distribution – either internally or in close collaboration with external stakeholders such as other Janssen organizations, Suppliers, Contract Manufacturing Organizations or Contract Research Organizations. We are looking for a pro-active Planner/ Buyer who will successfully support the department and who will be embedded in the broader organization. You will be responsible for:Initiating and controlling of the day to day routine material planning operations and processes
oPlanning and coordination of GMP material supplyoExecutes the purchase to pay process (up to verification of invoices)oCreate and maintain forecast based on qualitative and quantative informationoChecks availability with warehouse, QC, QA and productionoCreation of shipment documentation (if needed)oCommunicate with freight forwarders (if needed)oCommunicate with suppliers and internal clients.oEscalates issuesoNotifies appropriate personnel of anticipated problemsParticipate in projects
oMeeting with involved departmentsoProvide Input on material supply oFollow up on actions required Set up quality events if needed
oInitiating quality eventsoInvestigate root causeoInitiating CAPA if required oParticipate in follow up and lead to finalize with QA departmentCreate and maintain (Master)data

oSupport/ initiate proposals to improve operations oContact person for ordering, receiving and recycling of Temperature Data loggersoAnswering relevant questions about purchase orders, reservations, production orders and invoices for internal and external partners.
The Planner/Buyer will act as a subject matter expert on material planning processes related to our development programs. The Planner/Buyer will report to the Manager Logistics & Material Handling.
We offer an interesting temporary position (1 year) which allows you to work on different types of interesting topics, supporting our programs in various stages of development. The job offer will be a year contract only. HBO or equivalent in a relevant discipline, with at least 5 years’ experience in supply chain environment. Given the international environment in which the Operator Material Handling will have to operate, fluency in the English language is required. Experience with working in a GMP environment, working with relevant planning tools and general knowledge of pharmaceutical material market are strong advantages.Competences:
Independent on location, flexible, collaborative, communicative and motivating, enjoys working in a team. Interpersonal skills, well developed understanding of process excellence and business acumen are key for this position.
