The Internship assignment

The HR Systems and Process Support Intern will be part of the HR Operations team, which performs various administrative tasks to assist with the daily operations of Tesla’s Human Resources department. The HR Operations team acts as a bridge between employees and other departments e.g. Payroll, Benefits, Finance, HR Partners, etc. As an HR Systems and Process Support Intern, you will contribute in maintaining, identifying and implementing system improvement opportunities to create the best employee experience possible. Additionally, you will have the chance to implement your own initiatives across the HR teams in EMEA. You will learn how to provide technical guidance and respond to end user requests for new features, problem investigation, security configuration and reports. This role requires someone who is accurate and able to communicate ideas to others. You will serve HR department liaison to IT function and you will develop collaboration, problem solving and technical skills.

Learning goals & Tasks

•Learn how to work closely with the stakeholders on requirements gathering, testing system enhancements and developing user procedures

•Maintaining and upgrading existing systems as required

•Troubleshooting technical problems; collaborating with stakeholders to resolve issues

•Creating and maintaining system guidelines and manuals for the organization

•Assisting in resolving User "How To" questions and creating relevant job aid communications

•Recommending changes to current processes to provide more effective use of the HRIS

•Monitoring, measuring and providing feedback on system performance

•Providing administrative project/reporting support: Data analyses, monitoring and ensuring data quality, creating documentation and knowledge management

•Designing and developing customized reports as required for business users and management

•Ensure accuracy of employee data in various systems, while remaining compliant with GDPR

Requirements

•Fluency in English (excellent written and verbal skills), any other European language is considered a plus (preferably French or German)

•Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferably a Human Resources relevant field)

•Capable of working in a fast paced and always changing environment

•Proactive work mentality

•The ability to keep an overview and improve processes

•Analytical mindset and problem-solving oriented

•A strong team player

•Strong Excel skills essential

•Active student status during the 6-month internship
