Foot Locker is seeking a highly analytical performance-oriented digital marketing professional to drive customer acquisition and retention across our performance media channels. This role is a core contributor to growing new customers, optimizing customer acquisition cost (CAC), increasing lifetime value (LTV) and improving overall customer quality. You will oversee the development and deployment of digital marketing plans including SEO, SEM, email, display advertising, paid social and mobile to effectively and efficiently drive traffic and sales. The position is well-suited for an accomplished digital native who successfully can navigate a large matrixed organization that consists of digital shared services, data/analytics, technology teams, purchasing and brand marketing.

  • Lead the Foot Locker Europe digital marketing strategy, reporting to the Senior Director of eCommerce & Marketing
  • Develop full funnel customer acquisition plans with clear KPI and performance goals
  • Immerse yourself in our business and drive daily and long-term performance, develop solutions and see them through to completion
  • Brainstorm, validate, test and refine customer acquisition and retention initiatives using testing and data analysis to optimize each stage of our demand generation and customer journey touchpoints across platforms
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the performance marketing execution teams, planning, buying, content, design, and technology teams to identify opportunities to optimize offers and response rates to maximize acquisition volume, lower CAC and discount spend, and drive higher LTV
  • Collaborate with the performance marketing and data/analytics teams to bring customer insights and advanced customer targeting techniques to bear
  • Drive understanding of incrementality and impact by leading the testing roadmap
  • Ensure the integration of our brand message and core points of differentiation across all digital touch points
  • Drive budgeting and forecasting of media spend and overall digital marketing expenses for Foot Locker Europe
  • Collaborate on content creation and strategies with internal and performance marketing teams to maximize engagement and conversion rates
  • Partner with the performance marketing shared services teams to identify and vet new channels, vendors and technology solutions to drive incremental business results
  • Creating holistic upper and lower funnel marketing plans by bridging the gap between brand and performance marketing
  • Digital media spend governance ensuring we are spending our $ effectively and driving incremental benefit to the business
  • Strategizing future campaign planning to ensure the performance marketing partners can execute with excellence
  • Creation of toolkits outlining audience selection, spends and asset choices
  • Running paid media testing road map (learnings to be fed into future campaigns)
  • Work with external partners Google & Facebook to develop and lead JBP
  • 5+ years of experience developing a strong working expertise of digital marketing, including deep channel knowledge of Paid Search (SEM), SEO, Email, Paid Social, Affiliate and Display with the ability to set best practices and hold teams accountable
  • Experience with in-depth analytics and problem solving with the ability to think strategically and be execution-oriented to drive a fully integrated digital marketing strategy
  • A continuous-learner mindset with a strong understanding of the evolving digital landscape as it relates to digital media, website engagement, and analytics
  • Ability to learn quickly, iterate based on past results, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Roll-up your sleeves attitude; absorbs information and reacts in a timely manner with a bias towards action
  • Committed cross-functional partner and a great team player
  • Hands on experience using data from digital and site analytics tools such as Adobe or Google Analytics to make marketing decisions; experience both partnering with Analytics teams and directly digging through data for insights
  • Expertise in creating and driving quantifiable metrics/KPIs and leverage consumer data to find quality customers to acquire, engage, retain and reactivate through various marketing channels
  • Experience leading in-house digital marketing/media teams and vendors/agencies
  • History of success working with Creative and/or Product teams to brief and develop ad creative and/or site experiences
  • Retail experience highly preferred
  • Excellent communicator; ability to transform detailed analysis and digital marketing complexity into straightforward summaries for all levels of the organization
  • A Bachelor’s degree in an analytically oriented discipline (e.g. business, marketing, economics, statistics, mathematics, etc.) or technology-oriented degree
