The Role:
The Body Shop Trainer position requires someone with exceptional ability to develop & deliver technical training to our partner body shop technicians. The successful candidate will work with the European Technical Training and Body Shop program teams to ensure that Tesla delivers high-quality and expertly organized training to body shop technicians from across Europe. This individual must be creative, proactive, organized, flexible, results-oriented, and have a passion for and understanding of electric vehicles. Must have outstanding communication, facilitation, and organizational skills while demonstrating a positive and professional demeanor.

  • Develop and manage training programs for Tesla Body Shops, including understanding curriculum needs and partnering with our team’s content developers to manage the content
  • Facilitate instructor-led technical training on electric vehicles equipped with complex automotive and electromechanical systems to enable automotive technicians to perform their role safely and to Tesla’s standards
  • Facilitate training through different mediums, including virtual instructor-led training or training on location, if needed
  • Take the lead for EMEA to align with the North America Body Shop training team to set the direction for our program
  • Work with the Technical Training Developer and align development structures performed
  • Take the lead on the rollout of Body Shop training programs in partnership with the other trainers, and works closely with the overall Training manager on the direction
  • Responsible for equipment requirements and mapping out training delivery strategies
  • Work with Network managers and Technical Support on gaps and requirements and translate them to training needs
  • Launch and lead the EMEA Body Shop apprentice program
  • Maintain expert knowledge of the most current product knowledge, methods, techniques, and best practices
  • Share best practices with Technical Training peers
  • Maintain close relationships with partner teams such as Technical Operations, Engineering, and regional technical and field support teams
  • Degree from a certificate program in Automotive Technology, or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability
  • Strong automotive system diagnosis and repair knowledge. Experience with electric vehicles preferred
  • Experience with Tesla’s infotainment and driver’s assistance systems strongly preferred
  • Experience in body repair and body engineering is a plus
  • Strong affinity and experience with training and coaching preferred
  • Experience with environmental and safety requirements a plus
  • Proactive, flexible, confident, professional, and self-directed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Thrives working independently; able to contribute strongly as a member of a high-performing team
  • Strong facilitation and interpersonal communication skills required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated confidence and professionalism in working in a customer-facing role
  • Tech savvy – able to expertly use a full suite of office and learning technologies
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
  • Valid Passport preferred
