This role supports the firmware organization through the mechanical design, layout, and construction of various form factor test fixtures used for component level PCB test. It is the expectation of this role that the candidate has sufficient experience to independently assemble electrical systems to print and draft/fabricate custom components through 3D printing and general machining operations.
Provided electrical schematics from engineering, candidate will be responsible for component layout, wire routing, mechanical design, and fabrication of rack mounted test infrastructure.
Layout and cable management with respect to considerations such as thermal, electrical noise, space limitations, ease of access, safety, etc.
Design and fabricate custom enclosure and mounting solutions through 3D print and general machining operations.
Independently manage time to successfully complete parallel assignments.
4+ years of combined drafting/fabrication/assembly and low-voltage electrical systems experience.
Demonstrated experience with CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, and laser cutting.
Basic 3D Printing Experience – FDM, SLA, DMLS, Multi Jut Fusion, etc.
General proficiency in a drafting design suite: Altium, CAD, CATIA, or similar
Comfortable working with general and electrician hand tools.
