The aim of Project Management (PM) is to stay in control of workflows and achieve our OSBIT (on specification, budget and in time) project standard. This is supported by the Project Management Office (PMO) department, which consists of the following sub-departments: Shipbuilding Planning; Supply Chain Planning; Document Control; and the PM Centre of Excellence. Within IHC, we have developed our own project management method.

You will be responsible for:

The Business Process Engineer will contribute to the implementation, assurance and improvement of this method, as well as its associated processes and control tools. You will advise and support the project managers and teams in how to use this method, along with its tools. Being field-based, you will be able to hear and see how the method works in practice, as well as how effective and efficient its use is.Royal IHC wants to continually improve, therefore you will frequently alert us to improvement opportunities. As Business Process Engineer you will also contribute to achieving better collaboration, both within the PMO, as well as between its teams and other departments. In addition, you will support the business in creating and maintaining high quality data, and carry out data-related changes. You will also build reports and dashboards to visualise the output of your analyses.

Job requirements:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive candidate with technical and business knowledge. You will be someone who likes to focus on the process-based 'hardware' side of organisational development (processes, tools and data), but also understands and is interested in the 'human side' of organisational change. You will be able to switch between abstract information to a more detailed level as required, which makes it easy for you to link and filter the essence of information. In addition, you will be persistent and able to confidently handle resistance. To be eligible for the role of Business Process Engineer, you must have:

  • a bachelor's degree in a technical or business subject area
  • experience of working in project management and with business processes in a technical environment
  • strong digital and IT capabilities
  • excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, both written and verbal.
  • an online assessment and screening can be part of the recruitment process.
