For a leading petrochemical multinational we are currently looking for an experienced professional is the field of heterogeneous catalysis applied in petrochemistry. The Research facility is expanding and planning to realize a pilot plant facility specifically aimed at the development and optimization catalysis processes (e.g. hydrocracking) for the processing of crude oils. As a specialist in this field you will be responsible for these developments. You will be the primary point of contact for the production sites worldwide concerning catalysis processes. (trouble shooting, development and optimization) Furthermore you will be the primary point of contact towards suppliers of catalyst and reactors and laboratory equipment / instruments. You will work together and supervise a Research Technician within the Pilot Plant to implement and conceptualize the appropriate tests. In short a highly challenging position for a knowledgeable and communicative specialist of heterogeneous catalysis. We are looking for a professional with the following background: - PhD or Msc in chemistry specializing in (heterogeneous) catalysis - At least 4 years of post-PhD or industrial experience in this field preferably aimed at petrochemistry - Proven success track record and sufficient own network in the field of catalysis. - Experience with pilot plant HTS of petrochemical catalysts - Hands on experience with catalyst characterization - Excellent communicative and organizational skills Petrochemical company of international renown, the company has interesting plans to expand over the next couple of years in the Netherlands The R&D teams are multidiciplinary, internatinally orientated and highly motivated.
