Supporting Quality and Productivity improvements within Production. Carry out time studies of production processes and identify improvement opportunities (eliminate waste/non-value added). Work closely with Production and Quality departments in participation of process FMEA’s. Provide training to Production team members on equipment. Creates, review and revises procedures, standard work and work instructions by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control and personnel requirements. Support product inspection and develop / assist in acceptability decisions. Support Production in PPAP process; production qualification & approval and pre-production of new engineered products. Support the Maintenance Department in resolving any on-going equipment issues and analyzing break-downs for TPM purposes. Carry out and/or organize calibration of test equipment used by Production. Introduction of new equipment & tooling from concept to full production approval, providing machine/tooling/process instructions & training to operators. Responsible for (CE) certification of test equipment used by Production and Engineering, in cooperation with HSE. Maintain machine instruction, process settings and change log for equipment within Production department. Support Production in developing, implementation and maintaining Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures and visual tools. Collecting, processing and reviewing manufacturing data (SCADA, Historian), take required actions in case production process is out of boundaries. Assist in investigations to determine root cause and preventative and corrective actions, for Customer returns in support / conjunction with Product Manager, QA and Engineering. Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering. Candidates with process engineering/knowledge have preference. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing engineering. Knowledge & understanding of manufacturing technology such as FMEA, Design for Manufacture, testing, etc. Aerospace (AS9100) experience is desirable. Six sigma green belt desirable. Strong working knowledge of project management. Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communications skills. Ability to work in team environment. Proven problem solving skills.
