Wie zijn wij?
FEMS – Federation of European Microbiological Societies
FEMS is a pan-European scientific body campaigning to get science – and microbiology in particular – on the European Agenda. We were set up in 1974 to promote microbiology across Europe, and today we are a growing coalition of 52 member societies from 36 countries. We bring together around 30,000 professional microbiologists who are exploring microbiology and its impact on the world, and we are working with similar organizations elsewhere to make our network global.
Over the last 40 years we’ve launched five highly respected journals which fund our philanthropic and campaigning activities, including our grants and awards programs and our popular biennial Congress. Every year we provide opportunities for early career researchers to meet key opinion leaders and other scientists at around 20 sponsored conferences and workshops; others get to spend time at leading labs to learn new skills and build up professional networks.
We are a UK registered charity with our headquarters based in the Netherlands. For our headquarters in Delft we are seeking an enthusiastic Business Development Manager to help us explore new opportunities which might allow us to expand our charitable activities and member services.
