Tasks
- Architect and maintain distributed IoT applications using Go and containerized environments
- Design and implement integration flows between Cybus Gateway and AVEVA MES using HTTP and JSON
- Optimize message-queue-based internal communication for high reliability and scalability
- Manage deployments using Docker images in Kubernetes/OpenShift clusters
- Develop automation workflows for build and deployment using GitHub and GitHub Actions
- Collaborate on frontend development strategy (Node.js, Vue, Tailwind) for future application enhancements
- Ensure secure and efficient connectivity across industrial networks
- Provide technical consulting and documentation for client-specific requirements
Qualifications
Technical Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in IoT application development and system integration.
- Strong proficiency in:
- Go or equivalent language for backend development
- SQL and relational database design (MSSQL)
- Expertise in containerization and orchestration:
- Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift
- CI/CD and DevOps practices:
- GitHub, GitHub Actions
- Deep understanding of:
- HTTP-based communication and JSON data exchange
- Message queue systems for distributed architectures
- Industrial connectivity concepts (Cybus Gateway nice to have, MES integration)
- Familiarity with frontend technologies (Node.js, Vue, Tailwind) is a plus.
Cloud Platforms
- Experience deploying applications in hybrid environments (on-premises and cloud)
- Knowledge of cloud-native patterns for IoT connectivity
Industry Knowledge
- Strong understanding of shopfloor connectivity and Industry 4.0 principles
- Experience integrating with MES systems (e.g., AVEVA MES or equivalent)
Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Certifications in container orchestration (CKA, OpenShift) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) are a plus
Key Competencies
- Advanced problem-solving and architectural design skills
- Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor junior team members
- Strong documentation and client communication abilities
- Adaptability to evolving technical requirements
Travel Requirements
- Willing to travel up to 20–25% to client sites
- Valid passport and driver’s license required

- Start: by arrangement - always on the 1st and 15th of the month
- Working hours: full time (40h); 27 vacation days

- Language skills: business-fluent English at C1 level; German is a plus
