Stellenbeschreibung

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Talent Management (Senior) Controller, you'll be part of the HR department that supports our Consulting employees (Consulting Team, "CT") in Central Europe. The teams are the key point of contact for our consultants on all HR- and career-related topics ranging from operational workforce planning (staffing) to classical career development.

You will have a cross-team responsibility to inform the direction of BCG's CT people strategy in Central Europe (with a primary focus on Germany and Austria) and generate insights for our career development processes.

You'll collect, compile, and analyze HR data from multiple sources (such as our human resource information system and payroll outputs, employment records, and other sources). You'll enable effective decision-making by compiling this data into digestible and actionable insights to make recommendations related to our career development processes and our recruitment and retention measures.

You'll prepare and deliver reviews and reports, and present and explain findings to the responsible teams within the firm and our people leadership. You'll participate in strategic and tactical planning discussions on our people pyramid and career development metrics, and design scaled, automated, and user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, etc. That will support our business needs.

Among other topics, you'll be responsible for personnel controlling and staff planning and for the compilation of the respective reports and analysis for our senior management. You'll provide all necessary data-related insights and analyses for our Career Development Committees (such as evaluator averages for calibration of feedback grades, staff/pyramid planning, attrition etc.). You'll steer the process to determine the yearly variable compensation for our consulting team, working with our talent coordinators (HR business partner for our consultant staff) to identify eligible staff, collect input on key performance metrics, and conduct the calculations necessary to determine bonus amounts. You'll assess the impact of changes to our bonus system and develop scenarios, and you'll be the go-to person for the numerical side of our CD and ad hoc people data and analytics requests, supporting special projects and strategic initiatives.

YOU'RE GOOD AT

  • You're passionate about people topics.
  • You have very strong problem-solving and analytical skills; you enjoy working with numbers, are data- and process-oriented, and extremely thorough with a passion for details.
  • You are a highly reliable, independent, and self-motivated worker.
  • With your excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels of seniority, you are able to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal (senior) stakeholders.
  • You have strong work ethics and stay calm in stressful situations, and you are able to manage several projects in parallel.
  • You display absolute integrity and apply discretion and a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

  • You have a bachelor's or master's degree in human resources or business administration.
  • You've gained a minimum of five years of relevant work experience and have proven hands-on experience manipulating and deriving insight from large datasets.
  • You're an expert in MS Office software (especially Excel and PowerPoint); proficiency in building data workflows and visualizations through Alteryx and Tableau is a plus, willingness to learn a must.
  • You're already proficient in or have the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS (Workday) and similar employee management software.
  • You have demonstrated an advanced ability to draw insights from data.
  • You have strong verbal and written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with technical teams, non-technical stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Understanding of labor laws is a plus.
  • You have excellent written and spoken English language skills; German language skills are a plus.
YOU'LL WORK WITH

You'll be part of our talent teams in Central Europe with 40+ team members located in Budapest, Düsseldorf, Munich, Prague, Warsaw, and Zurich. Our collaboration is characterized by respect, acceptance, and mutual trust. Through the various interfaces, you'll receive interesting insight into the work of other areas of HR (Recruiting, L&D, Legal, etc.). You'll report to the CE Talent Senior Director, who will provide guidance and support you in your professional development.
