The Hardware Engineer is responsible for supporting both sustaining of released products and development of new designs and products.
This position reports to the Manager Hardware Engineering and is part of the Engineering Team located in Aachen and will be an on-site role.
This position is initially offered on a one-year fixed-term contract (with the possibility of extension or transition to a permanent role).
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Work hands-on product design, development, and verification tasks related to hardware, and microplate consumables for our cell health products.
Develop new consumables for our biotechnology market and optimize processes for production.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, science and manufacturing team.
Develop constructive solutions and creation of CAD drawings suitable for manufacturing.
Execute feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs.
The essential requirements of the job include:
M.S./B.S. with background in Medical Engineering, Process engineering or similar engineering field.
Proficient in CAD, preferably SolidWorks and Enovia including design and documentation.
Good knowledge English and German, both written and spoken.
Structured, independent work, high level of practical judgment, reliability, organizational talent and enjoy working in a team.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Experience with Microfluidics
Experience in bio-process engineering or biotechnology
Experience with optical sensors
