System Engineer for Flight Tests and Flight Physics (m/f/d)

As a Systems Engineer (m/f/d) you will work in the area of mechanical development on unmanned aerial systems (UAS). This position has two main areas of responsibility. On the one hand, the planning and support of flight test campaigns/flight tests as a flight test engineer, on the other hand, the support of the flight physics area.

Your tasks:

• Planning and support of flight test campaigns as flight test engineer
  
  • Preparation and coordination of ground and flight test programs, with the aim of verifying flight performance and flight characteristics requirements, in accordance with specification/approval requirements
  • Preparation and compilation of the associated flight test documentation
  • Preparation and support of the practical execution of the flight tests on site
  • Exchange of test results with the persons responsible for development, for the purpose of performance/system improvement options
• Support of the flight physics department
  
  • Creation and validation of flight dynamic models and simulations (MATLAB) of flight performance and flight characteristics, for development and verification purposes
• General support in the area of requirements management, incl. development of test strategies and verification procedures, using common requirements management tools
