Lab Leader Bridging Assays (m/f/d)


  • Lead a Biochemistry lab with several technicians in Weed Control
  • Be an active member of a global multi-disciplinary team and work in close collaboration with other R&D functions,
    business functions and key stakeholders across the company
  • Conduct and initiate research projects on herbicide mechanisms (e.g., agrokinetics, determination of substance
    concentrations in cells as well as target engagement analysis)
  • Plan, coordinate and evaluate the scientific progression of the projects
  • Offer expert advice and tools to identify new weed control solutions and contribute to new business ideas and digitalization
  • Work as an enthusiastic researcher (m/f/d) in a dynamic and scientifically exciting global network covering agro and
    pharma, bridging biochemical, biological, and chemical research as well as data science
  • Drive an extensive scientific network of academic and industry collaborators and contacts
  • Supervision of graduates, PhDs and PostDocs


  • PhD, advanced degree in specific area of research (e.g., biochemistry, biology)
  • Experience of managing technical employees or supervising diploma/BA/MA or PhD students
  • Expertise in plant biochemistry, (plant) cell biology, molecular biology is of advantage
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work in and motivate a team as well as expertise to work in interdisciplinary teams
  • Good organizational skills
  • High degree of social competence and good communication skills
  • Joy in demanding challenges and a high degree of self-motivation
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken, basic knowledge of German
