Service Manager - Windows and Cloud Platform Services (m/f/d)

The Service Manager (m/f/d) is responsible for steering and managing the operational interfaces to service providers and business stakeholders for service processes in scope of Windows and Cloud Services. (e.g. service level reporting and complaint and escalation management) and for ensuring that value is achieved from outsourced relationships and services. In detail:


  • Provide overall ownership and accountability for management, performance, and delivery of services provided by the service providers
  • Review service level performance and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Drive resolution of escalated service performance issues
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with sponsors and key stakeholders across IT and business, including the partner delivery team
  • Identify and mitigate risks on services
  • Review and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Review and approve service requests
  • Participate in invoice review and approval


  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, business studies or a comparable education with long-term applicable business experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge in the area of Windows Server and Public and Private Cloud Service Management
  • Vendor management and effective relationship management skills
  • Strong functional knowledge of IT Infrastructure, expert knowledge in ITIL as well as sound knowledge in the area of project management as well as in contract management
  • Sound knowledge in SOX, GxP and contract management as well as strong functional knowledge of IT services such as application support and development and computer/infrastructure services
  • Strong collaboration and partnering skills as well as thorough understanding of Bayer business objectives and environment
  • Competence to clearly and effectively convey and/or present information verbally as well as excellent intercultural understanding and experience
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
