Training Officer


About the Team

Become a part of a team dedicated in providing support across a wide variety of training activities. With training being a part of our larger Human Resources department this role will see you working and collaborating with your colleagues to offer a full suite of people focused initiatives in support of the broader Rheinmetall team.

About the role

Reporting directly to the Training & Competency Manager, you will be tasked with coordinating activities related to Training including RDA’s Apprenticeship program, tracking and recording the verification of staff competencies/qualifications, training bookings associated with these and responsible for maintaining accurate records and other associated documentation to support the department.

As the Training Officer, you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:

  • Processing Training applications, booking staff onto training courses, prepare correspondences and provide training reporting to various stakeholders;
  • Identify, develop, implement and/or improve administrative systems, processes and procedures and guidelines in support of RDA Training programs;
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to organise meetings and assist with the on boarding of new staff via the Learning Management System;
  • Ensure timely and accurate responses to employee queries received through the Training inbox, seeking support where necessary;
  • Monitor and track completion of training activities, book refreshers where required, maintaining training databases and accurate records;
  • Contribute to the delivery of Training programs and projects.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, including an ability to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines;
  • Intermediate level of use with MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Previous relevant experience Training Coordination is highly regarded; and
  • A strong focus and commitment to quality, compliance and reporting requirements.

Highly desirable for this position:

  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or equivalent;
  • Experience in RTO environment or broadly VET sector;
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems/e-platforms;
  • Skills and experience in course design; and
  • Knowledge of compliance driven training requirements.
