Your role

You will be a member of the DNA damage response group at our main research site in Darmstadt, located in the thriving greater Frankfurt area, Germany. In this role, you will contribute to multidisciplinary drug discovery approaches in oncology research programs. As a research associate you will assist in state-of-the-art drug discovery techniques. Your tasks will include establishment of in vitro cell-based assays as well as characterization and evaluation of drug targets. You will be expected to work independently in designing, executing and analysing cell viability and related assays. You will also be responsible from inventory, order management and organization of common tasks. You will be mentored by experienced drug discovery scientists and your personal development will be supported by trainings adapted to your professional interests and needs.

Who you are

  • Appropriate degree from a university or technical school and significant laboratory experience in molecular biology or related area (BTA/CTA/PTA, or B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree)
  • Hands-on experience in establishing and maintenance of cultured cells
  • Experience in cell-based assays (in vitro)
  • Experience in basic molecular and cell biology techniques
  • Very good work organization skills. Ability plan and structure experiments independently.
  • Strong communication skills in English and German, team spirit
