Senior Global Allocation Manager (m/w/diverse)

  • Production planning and loading
    • Work closely with the counterpart teams (supplier / customer); Decide regarding the necessity of changes in the suppliers' production planning and loading / delivery to customers
  • Escalation
    • Supplier Focus: Escalation point for all affected Conti plants in case of raw material shortages; Decision-maker in the allocation of limited supply in between different Continental plants or BUs/Divisions in close cooperation with the supplier or customer; Instructing and ensuring the follow-up of premium freights
    • Customer Focus: Drive escalations towards the responsible purchasing managers and global allocation manager by providing customer related information including x-party calls between affected parties
  • Analysys of material needs and preferred suppliers
    • Interface between all Continental plants affected and the supplier to ensure the balance in the supply/demand ratio (fair-share); Developing prevention tools to avoid any linedown in Conti plants due to raw material shortages; Working extensively with the SAP/ERP system to analyze material demand and preferred suppliers (possible second sources) from production plants worldwide. Monitoring the agreed schedule and evaluating the suppliers' installed capacity accordingly
  • Purchasing Automotive (Category Management)/Customer Center support
    • Supplier focus: Offers support to the project teams in implementing/releasing new alternative suppliers as an escalation point; Works together with Purchasing and Operations to improve the leadtimes of the suppliers in order to satisfy Continentals' production planning schedules; Closely monitors the suppliers' production and escalates if there is any deviation from the agreed upon plan
    • Customer focus: Prepare customer documentation and reports based on customer requirements and drive the customer communication in alignment with the responsible customer center, act as first contact point in regards of logistic and supply question for external customers as well Continental customer centers
  • Prioritizing Conti as no. 1 customer in front of the supplier
    • Ensures that the supplier is prioritizing Continentals' needs as their no.1 customer; Reporting and data analysys using SAP,BW,ECDM systems; Arranging and moderating telephone conferences in between all involved parties
  • Allocation process
    • Ensures that the allocation process is used by all affected parties; Creates and uses Plant Allocation Form, including conversion ratios (ex. for PCBs - square metres) to ensure the most efficient and effective utilisation of the production capacity
  • Legal Compliance
    • To respect the law regarding work and security aspects art. 22, 23 of the Law 319 / 2006 and also the Internal Rules; Proceed with responsibility towards environment, in conformity with applicable legal requirements and other requirements, in conformity with internal requirements included in the quality and environment handbook, internal procedures and operating instruction

  • Degree in Business Administration or similar
  • Several years professional experience in the automotive industry
  • Experience in a merger situation, start-up and/or similar
  • Experience in leading projects is an advantage
  • Good knowledge in MS Office and SAP R/3
  • Fluent in Business English spoken and written
  • Intercultural sensitivity
  • International communication experience
