RESPONSIBILITIES

The group In Vivo Toxicology provides a broad range of animal studies. We support all BASF business units in order to enable a successful registration of products worldwide.

  • You are responsible for a team of technicians and coordinate internal laboratory capacity issues.
  • Integrated in our Experimental Toxicology and Ecology department you are responsible for planning, conducting and evaluating repeated-dose as well as reproduction toxicity studies (in rats, mice and rabbits) according to the agreed timelines and budget.
  • All studies have to be compliant with animal welfare, GLP and ISO.
  • Your expertise is in demand. You closely work together with other research scientists and colleagues from BASF's regulatory toxicology groups as well as your costumers.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • qualified in animal experimentation by being specialized in veterinary science (or equivalent qualification)
  • solid understanding of animal welfare requirements
  • significant experience in managing scientific projects and ability to work in a result-driven environment as well as in a diverse team
  • experience with conducting toxicological studies under GLP
  • good knowledge of standard IT applications as well as excellent German and English language skills
