Department Manager System Development Wheeled Vehicles (m/f/d)

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Support us as department manager (m/f/d) for medium-weight wheeled vehicles at the Kassel site. Your task includes the management of the department for technical system design and responsibility for complete vehicles of tactical wheeled vehicles with the following tasks:

  • Overall technical responsibility for the system, development budget and scheduling
  • Leading technical project managers, system engineers, system architects, V&V managers and configuration managers (m/f/d)
  • Responsibility for achieving development milestones within a project
  • Analysis and evaluation of customer specifications and creation of concepts
  • Carrying out requirements management up to the verification stage
  • Technical problem solving, coordination and monitoring of implementation up to series production readiness
  • Technical coordination and cooperation with other specialist departments, Rheinmetall companies, service providers/suppliers and customers
  • Carrying out all necessary planning, organisational and disciplinary tasks in a development department

Fähigkeiten

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
  • Successfully completed studies in the field of mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or comparable
  • Several years of professional and management experience in military vehicle construction or special vehicle construction
  • Project management experience, certification is an advantage
  • Confident command of written and spoken English & German
  • Motivational skills in the allocation of tasks
  • Strong communication skills, high flexibility and stress resistance
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
