Lab Head - Peptide Chemistry (m/f/d)

Lab Head - Peptide Chemistry (m/f/d)


  • Professionally manage (e.g. work allocation, development dialogue, salary discussion, feedback) technical staff
  • Identify and evaluate projects with high potential to bring value to patients and technologies with strategic importance to R&D
  • Be responsible for facilities and equipment, including strategy and investment planning of new equipment where appropriate
  • Monitor compliance with directives such as laboratory safety or genetic engineering safety
  • Coordinate and implement projects in close consultation with internal functions
  • Conceptualize, continuously develop, and optimize methods, models and processes
  • Supervise master students and/or postdocs


  • PhD degree in natural science/chemistry/biochemistry with a focus on peptide synthesis and design with an excellent track record of productivity
  • Postdoctoral and several years of industrial working experience in peptide-based drug development
  • Demonstrated competence to independently solve technical and scientific challenges
  • Proven expertise in the use of modern research techniques and scientific research principles in an international environment
  • Experience in leading research projects under consideration of project timeframes
  • Structured work-style along with curiosity and passion for research
  • Ability to independent and creative thinking as well as team play in combination with a high degree of self-motivation
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with excellent communication and presentation skills
