(Senior) Software Engineer (Python, Scala) - Traffic Platform

For many customers, their shopping experience begins when they see an online advertisement. As part of the campaign optimization team you play a key role in building solutions that power our advertising on the Google and Facebook ecosystems by automation, ad creation and real time data sharing using cutting edge technologies.

You will work in a cross-functional team with product owners, marketing managers, data scientists and other software engineers, to take digital marketing to the next level in a world of increasing data privacy.

  • Possess a strong ownership of the service(s) from the architecture & implementation to testing, deployment and operation with an agile, cross-functional experienced team
  • Drive business impact by applying deep domain knowledge, delivering automation solutions, and integrating machine learning models
  • Keep growing your skills by leveraging current trends in software architecture, web services and event driven programming
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with other engineers through pair programming, technical discussions, designs, code-reviews and collaboration tools (e.g. zenhub)
  • Make a positive impact on our engineering culture and encourage knowledge sharing. Write clean, modular and well tested code that will make it easier to maintain
  • 4+ years of experience working in agile cross-functional teams, taking ownership of the codebase and deploying to production environments
  • Proven work experience with Python/Scala and surrounding ecosystem, as well as with relational database systems; or experience in other programming languages and willingness to learn Python/Scala
  • Familiarity with microservice architecture and RESTful APIs, particularly using a cloud infrastructure such as AWS
  • Understand the properties of large scale distributed systems, databases, Docker and Kubernetes or demonstrate motivation to learn
  • Passion for developing clean, maintainable and testable code
