PostDoc in vivo Imaging and Pharmacokinetics of New Modalities in DMPK (m/f/d)


  • Facilitate implementation of new technologies (in vivo bioluminescence (BLI) and fluorescence imaging) in the field of new modalities especially cell and gene therapy (CGT)
  • Establish and optimize BLI workflows for a variety of molecule types within a project context
  • Explore use-cases of mouse models (liver-humanized mouse model, transgenic animal models) with regard to distribution, tropism, etc. for emerging new modalities, e.g. CGT approaches
  • Assess and present scientific study results within global project teams and respective scientific communities
  • Get involved in preclinical Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) project work as a member (m/f/d) of the internal pharmacokinetic teams and represent the DMPK-function in international and interdisciplinary project teams
  • Drive continuous improvement in methodology and processes through own expertise and experience


  • PhD in a relevant discipline, e.g. biology, (veterinary) medicine, pharmacy or biochemistry
  • Experience in in vivo imaging techniques such as BLI and fluorescence imaging is a plus
  • Basic understanding of the principles of drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics is a plus
  • Ability to assess results with an affinity for data science and to clearly communicate these results to non-experts in this field (both internally and externally) combined with curiosity and passion for research
  • Strategic thinking combined with delight in tapping into new fields without established routines and processes
  • Excellent teamworking skills as well as interdisciplinary thinking
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken; at least basic knowledge of German is necessary
