Business Development Account Manager (Health Sciences and Wellness)

We have an exciting opportunity to join one of the fastest growing sectors within EY. Health Sciences and Wellness (HS&W) has enjoyed significant growth over the past year and is a strategic focus of the firm. The teams are well linked and supportive and have a passion for the accounts and the Health Sciences and Wellness sector. The Global Account Manager will be working within our two UK based G360s account teams supporting the growth across all of EY services. The Global Account Manager is primarily responsible for implementing global account activation strategy and planning in collaboration with account leadership in the region.


Your key responsibilities

You’ll be working with the Business Development & Service Line teams, ensuring that the best practice of account management globally is undertaken, enabling global teams to be fully connected on major pursuits. You’ll be a key part the team that is driving growth on the accounts, leveraging thought leadership, best practice from other accounts. Ensuring relevant systems are updated on activities & reporting on account activities is maintained.

Account Management

  • Implement global Account Activation Center of Expertise (CoE) strategy, methodology and processes at Account level
  • Support account strategy working with account leadership and drive global execution of account plan
  • Support service line planning activity and account integration
  • Prepare and facilitate account meetings

Sales and Program Management

  • Manage the annual global revenue planning process with the G360 BDL and GCSP
  • Manage select client relationships e.g., procurement
  • Own and manage the Client Relationship Management (CRM) process
  • Support the account relationship strategy, including management of the global relationship map

Communications and Administration

  • Serves as subject matter expert for all information related to the account
  • Leverage EY resources to support the account
  • Manage Off-shore Account Coordinator/s if applicable – overseeing pipeline management, financial analysis, sales cycle support, client research, plan management

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities

  • Adheres to the Global Account Management Framework
  • Will need to make suggestions/recommendations to senior leaders (GCSPs, CEs, BDLs) in order to expedite results
  • Influences without direct authority, frequently providing coaching and input to a high level of firm leadership

Skills & attributes for success

  • Significant years of account management or similar relevant experience, ideally gained within a global multinational company
  • Professional Services experience preferred but not essential
  • A passion/interest in Health Sciences and Wellness would be good
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, especially with senior stakeholders
  • Strong business/commercial acumen and an understanding of major industry sector trends preferred
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint skills and comfortable presenting numbers
  • Effective in influencing and relationship building skills
