Account Technician (m/f/d) GBO Financial Lines

At AGCS, our account managers support the business by capturing and processing insurance data, from submission to billing and collections. We pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service and operational efficiency to our clients.

Reporting to the Team Lead GBO CEE Specialty & Finance Lines, you will be primarily responsible for providing an efficient administrative and processing service to underwriting, accounting, claims, credit control and our brokers/clients. You will provide a first class administrative service to our clients by working closely with the Global Client Services Unit (GCS), Underwriting, Accounting, Claims, Credit Control and our brokers/clients to ensure efficient execution of all administrative tasks and processes within GBO and provide solutions.

In this role you will…

  • review and interpretation of underwriting materials
  • develop effective working relationships with various departments including Global Client Services (GCS), Accounting, and the Reinsurance Department to include:
    -Ensuring efficient execution of all administrative processes within GBO (new business, renewals and intra-year changes)
    -Handling of structured multinational and domestic customers within the agreed framework and defined processes
    -Review hand over material from underwriting and/or GCS for completeness of required information and if necessary, escalate to UW and/or GCS.
    -Proactive communication with all relevant departments
    -Support for continuous improvement and automation initiatives within own business unit
    -Coordination of external premium balances and relevant reconciliation activities - in close cooperation with the accounting teams
    -Ongoing monitoring, maintenance and follow-up of all operations within respective responsibilities and escalation as required.
  • authorization within assigned limits Use of relevant information to accurately and efficiently populate IT systems with new and renewed contracts
  • preparing regular reports, invoicing clients and all relevant documentation, e.g. policies, certificates, endorsements for the broker (or client)/co-insurer
  • You will ideally have completed a recognized insurance qualification
  • You have 2 - 3 years of experience in policy administration in the insurance industry
  • You have 1 - 2 years of administrative experience
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • You are data-driven and innovative and able to introduce new digital working methods
  • Experience with front-office systems in the insurance sector is desirable
  • You have an understanding of insurance products, their wordings, terms and conditions and the policy administration lifecycle.
  • You pay attention to details You work well in a team and remain calm under pressure
  • Very good written and spoken English
