Production Supervisor

This position involves heading a team in the Motion - NEMA Motors, ensuring continuous and efficient production operations in line with plans, procedures, and quality and safety standards and policies. Reporting to the Production Manager you will aid in the transformation of parts and raw materials into ABB products in a timely and cost-effective manner, managing resources to meet production targets.

Your responsibilities
  • Leading capacity planning and resource optimization for the employees to gain ideas and resolve problems to improve safety, processes and quality
  • Identifying deficiencies in production, proposing improvements, and overseeing their implementation
  • Identifying and recommending technical equipment and facility improvements
  • Oversee training for your department, including manufacturing, safety, OSHA, environmental, lean
  • Working with HR Management to ensure that the Coaching employees for continuous individual improvement is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed
  • Guiding, motivating and developing less experienced team members to reach their potential
  • Help in implementing productivity improvement projects and generate daily production reports
  • Knowledgeable of Machining or Assembly or Winding or Warehouse operations and good analytic problem-solving skills
Your background
  • High School Diploma / GED and minimum 4 years of related manufacturing experience OR
  • Associates degree and minimum 2 years of related manufacturing experience OR
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Kronos, SAP & Lean experience is preferred and Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook knowledge is a plus
  • Must have a focus on customer satisfaction at all levels and have a proven track record of success and continuous improvement
  • Must be innovative with the ability to work with cross-functional groups to implement continuous improvements and understand the importance of safety in the workplace and drive this through productive training and behaviors
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
