In this role you will be responsible for driving the sales process, from enquiry to order closing, in collaboration with the Robots & Applications Manager and/or the Sales Manager. This role is homebased with travel to customer sites and our Milton Keynes Office. This will mean securing profitable sales within this designated area(s), in line with the Global and Local Go to Market Strategies, through robot product sales, as well as standard solutions that are locally designed, built and delivered, and additionally the standard solutions from the regional application centers You will have the ability to build long term customer relationships and ensure immediate response to specific customer requirements and concerns. Account Manager is directly reporting to the Sales Manager.

Your responsibilities
  • Contact customers to arrange face to face visits, 6 per week essential
  • Ability to identify and qualify leads into the business
  • Ability to prepare strategies to align with local/global Go to Market Strategy for your customers
  • Fill in CRM tool on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
  • Ability to develop opportunities from cold calls
  • Account planning – strategic and tactical
  • Ability to use data to create opportunities
  • Capable of forecasting accurately
Your background
  • 5+ years’ experience in selling robotic automation to automotive supply chain, with the ability to map the Automotive OEMs to the Tier supply base and projects
  • HND qualification in an engineering discipline
  • Experience in selling robotic automation to automotive supply chain
  • Proven sales track record
  • Proven target achievements (Year on Year growth or hitting target Year on Year)
  • Use of CRM tools
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Good IT skills (Microsoft, etc.)
  • Team player
  • Self-Motivated
  • Proven track record in automotive Tier 1 customers
  • Use of social media to generate leads and data
  • Value based sales approach and training
  • Degree in engineering or business
