As a Robot Application Manager, you will be responsible for providing manufacturers and selected partners with ingenious, efficient and reliable industrial robots and robot-based systems for Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area in Shanghai, China. Reporting to the Engineering Manager II, you will be elevating the nature of work and improving productivity, workplace safety and process quality.

Your responsibilities
  • Building modularized robot welding & cutting application function package, focusing on software module and vision system in industrial computer and robot system
  • Standardizing engineering programs of robotic cells, optimizing robot programs according to the new engineering requirements
  • Providing technical support for engineering projects, organizing know-how sharing periodically
  • Being responsible for the researching and coding of algorithms related of image processing and machine vision
  • Researching and using the new equipment or sensors to develop the new applications based on ABB robot
  • Preparing of software related technical document
Your background
  • Sound knowledge on C and C++, master one Windows GUI Library and related development experience is a must
  • Knowledge on C#, Master .Net Development, HMI (Human Machine Interface) design is preferred
  • Possessing skills such as data acquisition and analysis, digital image processing
  • Knowledge and experience in robot welding or cutting application is preferred
  • A master’s degree, major in Automation, EE, CS or similar field
  • Having fluency and command of English, both written and spoken
  • Adaptability, learns quickly, passionate in research and a good team player
