In November 2020, ABB announced the planned divestment of its Turbocharging Division. Turbocharging is a successful and profitable Division in a mature market and has been for long a highly self-reliant business within ABB. ABB has decided to take this step, acknowledging that for Turbocharging to realize its full potential going forward, a new setup is required. As the next step, alternative ownership options, including a spin-off to the Swiss stock market, will be assessed, considering value for customers, ABB and the future of the turbocharging business. This is an Area HR Manager role reporting to HR Manager Lead PG Services and Country Manager Turbocharging India, based out of Vadodara, India. You will be primarily accountable for the overall HR contribution and value-add to the business, translating business goals into HR priorities and ensuring effective transition of global Turbochaging guidelines. The incumbent is responsible for applying HR policies defined by the company including labor relations and alongside assuring local compliance. The span of the role includes business operations in India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

Your responsibilities
  • Implement HR priorities in the organization in line with global HR and people strategy, covering culture, people, and organization utilizing the existing HR solution portfolio or ensuring to provide new solutions where appropriate.
  • Orchestrate the HR organization to support and deliver on the defined priorities and interact with employees of different geographies and diversified culture.
  • Partner with managers and employees in the relevant locations to understand current issues/pulse to provide appropriate guidance as per policy and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Global HR to decide appropriate learning strategies and commission design and execution of customized programs to meet the needs identified.
  • Oversees the additional task of talent acquisition, onboarding, employer branding and internal mobility as per Capability & Workforce Planning.
  • Establish and ensures relationship with local Labor Relations (within the local fiduciary requirements).
  • Ensures relevant local statutory or regulatory requirements into the development and implementation of new or improved processes/products/services are met.
  • Is accountable of the correctness of Employee Masterdata and support using Employee- and Manager Selfservice possibilities including interfaces to third party HR providers (outsourced Services)
Your background
  • Bachelor/ Master’s degree in HR from reputed university.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experiences from service/product-based industries is preferred.
  • Prior experience to architect strategy along with leadership skills
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases & demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics.
  • People oriented and results driven and nurture a positive working environment.
  • Good communication and analytical skills.
