Expert Strategy and Communication (m/f/d)

We’re looking for an Expert Strategy and Communications in Legal and Compliance at Allianz Global Corporate and Specialty (AGCS) in Munich.

In this position, you will be responsible to proactively and systematically monitor strategic developments within AGCS and steer tie-in of the strategies of the Legal and Compliance functions. You will ensure tailored communication to internal and external customer segments with consistent look & feel globally. In addition, you will drive transformation and time-to-market of strategic ideas into executable concepts. Furthermore, you will support the Legal and Compliance teams with dissemination of Legal and Compliance advice and guidance. Finally, you will support with providing Legal and Compliance reports to key stakeholders and with team communication.

You will be reporting to the Global Head of Legal with a matrix reporting line to the Global Compliance Officer.

  • Proactively and systematically identify implications of changes to the business strategy or territorial setup of AGCS (e.g. NEW AGCS) on the legal and compliance topical areas and strategy.
  • Drive the definition and implementation of legal and compliance strategies in close collaboration with the global Legal team heads and the Compliance topic owners.
  • Coordinate and manage operational/strategic initiatives for the Legal and Compliance functions (e.g. Legal and Compliance transformation, Strategic Capability Building).
  • Manage dissemination of Legal and Compliance guidance.
  • Ensure tailored communication to internal and external customer segments with consistent look & feel globally.
  • Plan, create and drive internal communication campaigns on varied issues to ensure awareness of Legal and Compliance topics across AGCS.
  • Develop and maintain Global Compliance Communications Plan.
  • Create and coordinate concepts, business cases and regular reports to the AGCS Supervisory Board and Board of Management (e.g. Legal report, integrated reporting).
  • Advise Legal and Compliance team on development of communication, presentations and concepts.
  • Master’s degree in related field is required, preferably in law, business, marketing, communications, journalism or equivalent
  • 5-7 years professional experience in strategy and/or communications related function
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Strong inter-personal, inter-cultural and relationship management skills are essential for liaison with colleagues at all levels
  • Experience in working in a complex and international matrix organization with multicultural teams
  • Experience in contributing to the development of a corporate strategy would be beneficial
  • Ability to balance several projects at the same time and be responsibility for a wide range of divergent tasks and activities across a broad range, producing coherent decisions and results
  • Ability to analyze and break down complex scenarios into an intriguing storyline and executable implementation activities
  • Strong business acumen and client service mentality
  • Ability to take initiatives and work autonomously
  • Ability to drive change and innovation
  • Affinity for Legal & Compliance topics would be beneficial, but is not required
  • Excellent command of English. Other languages such as German, French and Spanish would be beneficial
