Grade: TBC (likely RCS I/J)
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

The aim of the global Business Process Optimization (BPO) is to optimize the value flow along globally streamlined end-to-end transactional HR processes. The BPO is key in driving, shaping and enforcing the end to end HR process flows within DHL Supply Chain. The BPO work includes improving process quality, fulfilling the customer's expectations and reducing process cost; further benefits include reduced and more predictable audit fees and effort and enhanced security controls.

The HR BPO department is structured along process towers and supporting roles. Business Support and Strategic projects is a supporting role and it is responsible for governing business projects (e.g. accountable for execution of agreed projects).

The Business Support and Strategic Projects Sr. Expert leads and supports implementation of agreed projects, drives completion of medium-high complexity projects, collects potential process improvements from main stakeholders and assesses change requests. In addition to that it maintains a partnership with Regional and Country HR Operations Leaders to lead projects and initiatives that impact BPO processes related to changes on service quality or changes to the platforms on which this services is provided.

What will your day to day look like?

  • Interact with assigned stakeholders of the country HR organizations and the BPO peer group; provide feedback on process-related content topics and questions of medium-high complexity regarding the process implementation and develop solutions fitting customer's needs
  • Align proposed process changes with assigned stakeholders (e.g. regional/country HR representatives)
  • Articulate need for global process design and convince middle management stakeholders of required changes
  • Contribute to BPO country/region extension engagement
  • Provide all program stakeholders with updates on content and milestone achievement and own budget performance
  • Lead medium complexity country HR business projects
  • Deploy new services/enhancements and coordinate global transitions
  • Execute projects following standard methodology
  • Initiate corrective actions when issues are identified during project implementation
  • Collect potential process improvements from: business requirements, change request, continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support solution development (e.g., define what is the best approach to solve this business requirement)

What experience are we looking for?

  • In-depth HR or business experience
  • Experience in systems-related HR process
  • Good general business and operational management experience
  • Intermediate to advanced technical knowledge of global and regional systems, ideally Oracle R12 or SAP HR
  • Project/Program Management experience inclusive of preparing, developing and advancing medium-to-large change programs through to implementation
  • Solid experience and proven track record in HR processes
  • Solid major enterprise-level HR systems experience (Oracle, Payroll systems, etc.)
