Senior Project Manager - Operating Model Buildout for Real Assets and Private Markets (f/m/d)

We are searching for you! We are currently hiring a forward-thinking and results-oriented Senior Project Manager (f/m/d) for the Operating Model Buildout for Real Assets and Private Markets. The position is based in our Frankfurt office.

As a member of the Private Markets Buildout team you will be encouraged to initiate, develop and implement new insights for innovative alternative investment products. You will also assess whether and how changes fit to the Target Operating Model of our overall Real Assets & Private Market platform within AllianzGI. The role will include the project responsibility for new fund and vehicle launches within the Private Debt/Equity and Infrastructure Debt/Equity area. Furthermore, you will design, implement and improve (new) operational requirements, investment features and functionalities along the entire Investment Management value chain.

  • Work closely together with the Product department, Investment Managers and Client Account Managers to gather business requirements from internal and external partners
  • Collaborate with appropriate domain Subject Matter Specialists and business partners for concept development and implementation of innovative products and improvements
  • Apply techniques such as partner workshops across functional units, desk shadowing, interviews, etc. in order to understand the client's needs, assess feasibility early on, advise on how to craft the proposed solution and manage the implementation process through to success
  • Deliver projects and product launches with an early consideration of IT, accounting, legal, tax, risk and regulatory constraints by including the respective timeframe, budget and scope
  • Take ownership of project results and overall project success and act as an internal consultant
  • Actively support and work on different topics and projects at the same time with the ability to prioritize and potentially advance accordingly
  • Develop operational models and workflows as well as design technology and data solutions to meet the defined requirements of the overall Operating Model
  • Co-ordinate all involved partners (mainly custodians, fund administrators, middle office providers, IT providers, etc.)
  • Identify strengths and weaknesses of product offering and provide recommendations for an innovative approach
  • Ensure client satisfaction, accuracy and efficiency of work and compliance with internal policies and external regulations
  • Keep abreast with industry developments, ground-breaking services, technology, market innovations and standard methodologies
  • Excellent university degree in Business Administration, Economics, IT, Egineering or related field of study
  • Ideally at least 3 years experience in management or IT consulting or working in relevant departments of an Alternative Investment Management company
  • Solid understanding of the Investment Management business and value chain of front-, middle and back office functions and first experience with alternative investment products
  • Good knowledge of the regulatory framework for investment managers, insurance investors and Alternative Investment Funds domiciled in Europe, especially Luxembourg, and US
  • Experience with one or several investment management applications, preferably with a focus on private markets, such as Allvue or eFront including a good grasp of data models behind
  • Professional knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, in particular MS PowerPoint and MS Excel
  • IT-programming skills (Python, SQL, etc.) as a nice to have
  • Ability to influence, negotiate and build collaborations at all levels and across multiple jurisdictions and entities
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving ability
  • Hands-on, social, diplomatic teammate with leadership skills
  • Ability to work well in an international, diverse and highly interdisciplinary environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Fluent in English, additional language skills are a plus
