(Senior) Product Analyst (f/m/d)

Data is a critical part of our product development process and Product Analysts (f/m/d) are the chief advocates. We are looking for Product Analysts who can quickly jump in and make an impact on the digital experience of our customers in one of our product teams. Working closely with teams of Software Engineers and Product Managers, you will be responsible for data-explorations, A/B tests and other statistical approaches focused on the product you are responsible for as well as the continuous reporting and monitoring of critical business KPIs. Your analytical understanding helps you to see clearly how our products grow and how these can be improved.

In addition, you will benefit from a network of Product Analysts, who share similar challenges across the company, to learn and develop your skills.


  • Advising in the set-up of A/B Tests for new features and business opportunities, analysing and deep-diving into the results to give recommendations
  • Develop in-depth analytical (user) understanding of what drives growth for the product and how it can be improved
  • Be a data explorer, an educator and a partner in decision making
  • Challenge and contribute to product decisions based on your insights
  • Give (analytical) evidence supporting decisions to do certain things - from discovery to roll out.
  • Define the key performance metrics for the teams to judge and monitor product performance


  • Experience in a data-intensive analytics role such as in Digital Analytics, Product Analytics or Business Intelligence, preferably in e-commerce
  • Strong knowledge of e-commerce KPIs and how they can be defined
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, preferably BigQuery
  • Experience with advanced analytics and statistical software languages ( R or Python),
  • Strong knowledge of A/B testing best practices and/or quasi-experimental analysis methodologies
  • Experience in tracking and analysis of onsite user behavior (for example using Google Analytics or a similar service)


  • Product Experience: This team owns the Product Detail Page. It focuses on giving to our customers easy ways to evaluate products through realistic, detailed, accurate, and category specific product presentation. As a Product Analyst, you will help the team develop new product presentation features and experiment with them.
  • Checkout and returns: This team owns one of the most critical processes at Zalando, the checkout funnel. As a product analyst in this team you would be responsible for helping optimize this experience for our customers.
  • Profile & Personalization:We continue to imagine new ways to make the experiences of our over 30 million customers in Europe more personal. We delight our customers with our search results. We also offer them the most beneficial recommendations in a conveniently personalized experience. Here you will have close interactions with the latest in data science.
