Project Director (m/f/diverse) (Executive)

The Project Director (m/f/diverse) drives, leads and manages single or multiple project(s) within the specified time, budget and quality framework to the satisfaction of the customers, ensuring economic success for the company and profitability of the product over lifetime.

Amongst others, your responsibilities are:
  • Define project objectives, select and negotiate project (core) team members in conjunction with the line management, establish adequate project organization, setup an initial project plan in accordance with the valid processes and ensure compliance to valid processes including legal requirements
  • Steer and represent the projects and lead the project team functionally
  • Serve as a consultant to Business Area, Business Unit or Segment Management in product/platform, market and customer related questions and support project managers
  • Represent Continental in important meetings and negotiations with customers, suppliers and partners
  • Act as an entrepreneur for the project
  • Full control of the approved project budget, target sales, numbers of involved functions/ team members regarding capacity usage or external spending in alignment with existing policies/procedures

  • Academic degree in Business Administration, Engineering or similar
  • Profound experience in the automotive industry in a variety of functions
  • Intensive experience in managing complex international projects teams >100 employees in order to achieve the project targets (time, financials and objectives)
  • Academic degree in Business Administration, Engineering or similar
  • Very good communication skills as well as effective conflict management skills
  • Knowledge of relevant technology and processes for production, software and/or services
  • Fluent German and English language skills (written and spoken)
