Procurement Manager - Development Small Molecule & Due Diligence (m/f/d)

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Represent the Procurement team in due diligences with the focus on internal API production, drive internalization according to Procurement processes
  • Implement category strategies and initiatives for materials around Pharma Chemical Development
  • Understand business needs and establish effective, trustful, personal relationships with key business stakeholders to set joint target agreements, align sourcing projects and be the contact point for all procurement related topics for your business stakeholder community
  • Manage supply agreements and contracts and monitor/control contractual agreements and clauses over entire lifecycle and minimize exposure to contractual risks in external relationships
  • Provide market intelligence to mitigate supply risk, gain competitive advantage and make better business decisions
  • Manage supplier relationships and implement supplier management principles in supply base, build relationships and improve supplier performance
  • Plan and execute (or delegate execution based on agreed criteria) sourcing events to create a competitive advantage, e.g. spend reduction, supply security and/or time-to-market and prepare supplier negotiations, award suppliers and conduct post negotiation debriefs
  • Collaborate with external partners to conduct sourcing events
  • Develop supplier set up along the product life cycle by building the bridge between Production, Development and External Manufacturing

WHO YOU ARE

  • PhD or Master's degree in science with long-term experience in Chemical Development or Production
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills combined with strong influencing and engagement skills across cultures, hierarchies and across functions
  • Ability to work in a global and virtual environment and to coordinate virtual teams (also without r-line responsibility)
  • Global market insights and category expertise
  • Change management and project management skills
  • Financial acumen and analytical decision making skills
  • High ability to solve problems and to structure and simplify complex tasks
  • High proficiency level in English, both written and spoken
