Data Science Apps DevOps Engineer (m/f/d)


  • Design of HLD based on the requirements of the Company and discussions with Bayer's technical teams.
  • Implementation of standard and big-data extract-transform Load (ETL) processes with a focus on their efficiency and reliability
  • Create the APIs to connect to Bayer's data platform and front-line team
  • Develop the solution in short cycles through CI/CD
  • Ensure the design, implementation and maintenance of the solution
  • Guide data scientists in the industrialization process
  • Containerize machine learning for deployment
  • Contribute to the creation of data pipelines
  • Communicate concisely using the most appropriate approach for various stakeholders
  • Lead the external and internal team working on development and maintenance


  • Ideally college degree in software engineering or development/programming or in a quantitative field (statistics, management science, operations research, engineering, finance, applied math, mathematics, business administration, etc.)
  • Several years of experience with a combination of data modeling, software/application development, industrialization of machine learning
  • Good working knowledge of Python and Spark as well as good knowledge of SQLand NoSQL solutions
  • Working knowledge of React, Angular or other front-end frameworks
  • Good knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, including data-specific tools
  • Also good knowledge of container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes and Docker)
  • Good knowledge of monitoring and alerting (Kibana, Grafana) as well as of API frameworks (fastAPI, DRF).
  • Knowledge of the most important authentication/SSO protocols: OAuth, SAML, Scrum / Agile methodologies, CI/CD tools and philosophy
  • You are a passionate team player
  • Strategic business acumen with a focus on results, passion for following media and technology trends
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written
