Engineering Director Finished Goods (*)

Ihre AufgabenIhre Aufgaben

Your tasks:

  • Provide support/direction in various Engineering projects that involve changes or improvements in the building, either Schenker's own or the client's requirement.
  • Work closely with Solution Design group to address present and future needs
  • Drive a global approach to FG Engineering solutions and applications that leverage best practice for FG sites.
  • Coordinate, collate, and perform regional activities that support manufacturing and warehouse processes, to optimize resources and propose improvements.
  • Initiate and drive a cohesive approach to the regional and global sites approach to the management of engineering solutions with a view to leverage application of engineering solutions on a global basis.
  • Work with the customer to assist with layout and material flow design, commonly seen across the regional sites for existing and new processes as requested.
  • Build relationship with the customer to coordinate future requirements
  • Coordinate the use of best practice and use back practice to drive improvements through coordination of CIP workshops across the regions
  • Coordinate the administration of ECN across customers FG requests and hold them in a central repository and work across the global teams to manage these effectively and consistently across the business units and support functions.
AnforderungenAnforderungen

Your profile:

  • Master degree in logistics / SCM / industrial engineering or similar
  • Several years experience in warehouse planning / design and/or innovation environment, knowledge of contract logistics is an advantage
  • Knowledge in:
    • VSM/Process Evaluation
    • Engineering Changes implementation ECN/ECO
    • SOP's Development
    • NPI
    • Kaizen/Continues improvement
    • Capex
  • Passion for logistics and innovation
  • Excellent knowledge of Project Management methods and techniques, including but not limited to being able to structure complex and ambiguous topics
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple topics with varying priorities
  • Get things done
  • Self-driven personality with the ability to set own agenda/initiative
  • Open and creative mindset/personality
  • Intercultural skills and experience abroad
  • Ability to travel abroad regularly
  • Excellent communication skills in English is a must (written and verbal), German skills are an advantage
