Provide accurate and relevant analysis to all stakeholders, to be a key player in the coordination of global-wide functional controlling processes (systems, methods and tools) and to establish world benchmark assuring know-how transfer across the organization.
Key Outcomes:
  • Planning Process (Budget / Forecasts / Business Plans)
  • Reporting Process – effective, fit to purpose analysis and actionable reviews with accountable managers
  • Global Controlling Processes and Standards
  • Benchmark tracking, analysis, best practice identification and know-how transfer
Tasks:
  • Participates in and supports the implementation of planning processes such as Forecasts and Budgets of Overhead cost within DB Schenker
  • Adjusts the detailed plans considering specific target settings and strategic directives
  • Prepares recommendations and advises Executive Management for improving the overall target achievement
  • Assess, prepares recommendations and advises Senior Executive Management of financial chances and risks and executes required ad-hoc requests
  • Participate and supports the implementation of the reporting, preparation of specific analyses and commenting on Month End Reports for the functional (overhead) activities of DB Schenker
  • Analyses and comments on important target / actual deviations relevant for overall functional performance and inform Executive Management
  • Performs plausibility checks, communication and supports for Month End Reporting, Forecasts and Budget (e.g. Functional review meetings)
  • Supports Regions (incl. Countries and Branches) and Functions in regular Reporting requirements (e.g. KPI reports, Deutsche Bahn Monthly Statement)
  • Identifies ways to improve quality of data entry
  • Supports in design and development Overhead Cost Center structure in close collaboration with Function and SAP IT Teams, ensuring smooth global implementation of any system updates
  • Supports the global standardization and harmonization as well as further development of internal allocation principles and methodologies
  • Supports Accounting / Finance in Transfer Pricing analysis and by planning Transfer Pricing
  • Supports the development and establishment of accounting, finance and controlling systems (e.g. designs, supports implementation, tests and improves quality / functionality of SAP-BI reports)
Requirements:
  • University degree in business administration, in particular, within the areas Controlling, Finance and/or Accounting
  • Advanced financial knowledge is mandatory
  • Working experience in the majority above-mentioned areas
  • Ideally job experience in a business environment within an international company
  • Profound knowledge of MS Office, in particular MS Excel
  • Knowledge of TM1 (IBM Cognos), SAP ERP/BW and Power BI as (reporting) tools are an Advantage
