Product Analyst

Data is a critical part of our product development process and Product Analysts (f/m/d) are the chief advocates. We are looking for Product Analysts who can quickly jump in and make an impact on the digital experience of our advertising partners in one of our advertising tech product teams at Zalando Marketing Services.

Working closely with teams of Software Engineers and Product Managers, you will have touch points throughout the entirety of the product development life cycle and will be responsible for data-explorations, A/B tests and other statistical approaches focused on the product. Your analytical understanding helps you to see clearly how our products grow and how these can be improved. You will be responsible for ensuring that data is both dependable and correct, seeking insights in this data and making data-driven decisions. You are responsible for as well as the continuous reporting and monitoring of critical business KPIs.

  • Develop an in-depth analytical understanding of what drives the usage and performance of advertising products
  • Advising in the set-up of A/B Tests for new features and business opportunities, analysing and deep-diving into the results to give recommendations
  • Challenge and contribute to product decisions based on your insights
  • Give (analytical) evidence supporting decisions to do certain things - from discovery to roll out
  • Independently explore data to uncover blind spots and find new opportunities
  • Define the key performance metrics for the teams to judge and monitor product performance
  • Experience in a data-intensive analytics role such as in Digital Analytics, Product Analytics or Business Intelligence, preferably in e-commerce or marketing
  • Understanding of how to translate findings into a meaningful story and communicate data clearly to a wider audience is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of e-commerce and marketing KPIs and how they can be defined
  • Experience in setting up data pipelines and dashboards
  • Experience with advanced analytics and statistical software languages (R or Python)
  • Strong knowledge of A/B testing best practices and/or quasi-experimental analysis methodologies
  • Strong knowledge of SQL
  • Experience in tracking (i.e. definitions and implementation) and analysis of onsite user behavior
