•Assure value creation for Schenker/Europe of asset and lease investments and divestitures from the Cluster•Evaluate investment proposals from the Clusters/countries together with the regional Controllers and business units, then make proposals for decision•Make economic assessments of planned investments in keeping with the valid investment guidelines and in line with strategic outlook and business operations•Assure compliance with the formal requirements of the investment guidelines for investment applications•Perform financial plausibility analysis of project proposals and alternative solutions•Set high quality standards for the basis of investment decisions in the region•Coordinate investment proposal approval process and present investment proposals to the European Management Board and other relevant decision bodies. Ensure obtaining approval decisions on time•Realize Investment Post Completion Reviews (PCR) i.e. revaluate & track investments made and identify lessons-learned•Optimize and develop further investment process, investment analysis and evaluation model•Plan investment budgets of the region and develop allocation and prioritization proposals•Track actual Capex spending and progress of approved investment projects. Analyze deviations between actual Capex spending and budget to ensure accuracy of investment budget
•University degree in business administration, particularly in the areas finance, controlling and/or accounting. •At least 3 years of relevant work experience ideally with international context•Profound knowledge of financial investment calculation methodologies and cash-flow•Knowledge of logistics and forwarding is an advantage•Structured and independent style of work•Strong communication skills, motivation, and commitment•Business orientation, analytical skills•Fluent in written and verbal English•Good knowledge of MS Office, SAP, TM 1•Resilience, flexibility, team skills, assertiveness
